I agree this wouldn't be for everyone, but if my honey and I were waiting until it was more financially feasible to get married (which might be a long time coming in this economy,) I wouldn't care what anyone thought about my unconventional registry choice. It beats collecting soda cans, as another couple is doing online to get enough cash for their wedding. And I imagine that, when family and friends see this registry choice, not only would they be impressed by my clever solution to a common problem, they might sign up for the registry themselves!
