“Butt Weight! There’s More!” Be a Happy Loser Bride!

Though it might not be on any wedding checklist, the first wedding planning decision most newly engaged women make is to lose some weight before the big day. As far as I’m concerned, you’re beautiful just the way you are. After all, he asked you to marry him, didn’t he? He loves you. Case closed.

On the other hand, I have a distinct understanding of what goes on inside an overweight woman’s head. Yes, these  are a bit offensive, but I think the wedding cake toppers in this Slim-Fast ad campaign are pretty clever:

So I’m here to help with a couple of rear-end exercises I found on Women-Workout-Routines.com.

The Passive Butt Exercise

You can do this exercise while watching television or preparing dinner—flex your butt muscles, hold as long as you can and rest for a while.

Passive butt exercise

Repeat this routine until your butt feels warm and you cannot to make any more repetitions.

You can make this exercise while standing or sitting – under the shower or in the bathtub, at work in front of the computer.

The good news is it also tightens the back of thighs and the abs.

You can do this while watching television.

Get on your palms and knees on the floor.

Raise one leg back and up, keeping your knee bent.

The movement is from the hip joint while the back and the waist remain still.

Visualize pushing your foot up towards the ceiling but without extending the leg.

Alternate for 20 repetitions on each leg without a break. Sit back on your folded legs and relax for 30 seconds.

Make another 2 sets of 20 repetitions on each leg.

The important points here are:

- To feel tension in your perfect butt (start think your have nice butt and routines will make the other work).

- Do not move your waist, move only the leg. If you disregard this condition your waist will hurt.

Easy, right? So get your butts going, if you feel you must. And if you understand that true love is mental, not physical, you can do whatever you choose–no butts about it!

I am totally going to try this! I am not even a bride-to-be and don’t have any weight to lose but I hope it will firm up my thighs better than all those cellulite treatments. Has anyone seen good results with these exercises yet?

    Hi Neri,
Any time you work your glutes you will firm your thighs at the same time. So go for it, it can’t hurt! Well… it might hurt … BUTT it will be worth it :)
