Seasonal Favorites for Your Wedding: The 3 You Need

Fall. It signals the start of new things to come, so what better time to get married and start your life together as husband and wife? Read on for ways to show off the season and all it has to offer.

1. Think color.

Vibrant orange, rich reds and deep browns are shades that will add some drama to your ceremony or reception. And is there anything better than falling leaves? Instead of rice or birdseed, buy loose decorative leaves and have guests shower you both with the bright fall foliage.

2. Think elements.

For simple arrangements for your tables, try orange, red and yellow flowers with thin decorative twigs and branches woven throughout. It’ll show what’s in season and in bloom. Place a few loose decorative leaves and low-sitting candles around the base for an added touch.

3. Think food.

Fall is a great time to spice up your table. For a seasonal menu, try having candied squash, sweet potatoes or cinnamon apple mash as sides instead of basic mashed potatoes or carrots. For drinks, pear martinis could be your signature cocktail while pumpkin spice lattes could replace coffee with dessert. For favors, wrap chocolate-covered pumpkin seeds in a leaf-adorned box.

The personalized leaves are a GREAT idea, I wish you were around when we were married 10 years ago on 10/20!
    (11 years this month!)

Some great ideas here. Our entire theme was fall-fun…
Favors were caramel apples, and centerpieces were votive style candles floating in pals with faux leaves.

Another great plus to fall time weddings is the crisp cool air. Nobody is getting sticky in their nice clothes.

    Great post. :)
